For Organizations

Q: I found our organization when I did a search on DeliverGood, does this mean we have a profile set-up?
A: Yes, however it needs more work. Every charitable organization that is registered with either the CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) or the IRS (Internal Revenue Service) is listed on DeliverGood and we update our database on a weekly basis. Each organization will need to update and customize their profile to take full advantage of our services by signing up for a membership.

Q: I tried to register our organization but I can't find us on DeliverGood and it won't let me complete the membership?
A: Are you a Registered Charitable Organization or a Registered Non-Profit Organization? Only Registered Charitable Organizations are listed in our database. If you are a new organization, simply email us and attach your certificate of incorporation. If you are Registered Non-Profit Organization we will not have you listed in our database. Simply email us your "Articles of Incorporation" or your "Letters Patent" and we will manually add you to the database.
 

For Donors

Q: I would like to make a donation using DeliverGood, will it cost me anything? What's the catch?
A: Nope! DeliverGood is supported by its partners, sponsorship revenue and registered organizations in order to provide this service to you free of charge. When making a standard financial donation through a linked third party they typically charge a small administrative fee ranging from 3% to 4.75% (they are usually non-profits themselves and this fee covers only administrative costs i.e. credit card processing fees).

Q: I would like to donate an item to a charitable organization listed on DeliverGood. Do I need to set-up a profile?
A: Yes. You will need to set-up a basic profile (email & password) to connect with a charitable organization. This will give them the ability to contact you and issue you a tax receipt. Also, this will give you the ability to keep track of donations you have made through DeliverGood.org.

Q: I've committed to making a donation, how do I get my tax receipt?
A: DeliverGood itself does not issue tax receipts. Your tax receipt may be issued (as they see fit) directly from the organization you are donating to. In the end, that is between you and the organization you are donating to.

Q: I have an item I would like to donate but when I performed a search there were no organizations that need my item?
A: As a donor or potential donor, you can create your own profile here and post your item. This will make your item available only to registered non-profit organizations on DeliverGood.

Q: Is DeliverGood a Non-Profit organization?
A: No. DeliverGood is a private social enterprise. We consider ourselves "Social Entrepreneurs", one part social and one part entrepreneur. Instead of building a business based solely on profits, DeliverGood is a business built with the specific intent to give back while maintaining its own sustainability.
