The Canadian Red Cross is committed to supporting those affected by this disaster. Canadians wishing to support Red Cross relief efforts in Japan and the Asia Pacific region are encouraged to make a financial donation.

• A $10 donation will send a bucket and jerry can for a family to collect and store clean drinking water, helping to prevent the spread of water-borne diseases.
• A $25 donation will send five blankets to a family in need of warmth.
• A $60 donation will send hygiene items to two families who were forced to flee their homes with nothing.
• $364 donation will provide a tent for a family left homeless after disaster strikes.
