Organization Profile

ARF is a registered charity (#89980-5956RR-0001) and is staffed almost entirely by volunteers. We have many expenses, not the least of which is veterinary care. All donations are very gratefully accepted, and a tax receipt will be issued for any donation of $20 or more.

ARF is currently in its second year of our "Pad for Paws" capital fundraising campaign. ARF’s mission is to rescue stray and abandoned dogs and cats from First Nations communities and rural areas and place them in loving, permanent homes while providing programs to reduce pet overpopulation. In order to further this mission and for ARF to grow and expand, a permanent facility is needed. This facility will be used to temporarily house sick or injured animals and offer refuge for nursing mothers as well as provide a headquarters for ARF.
